The Gourdo from Ruffwear is — well — shaped like a gourd. Although now that I see them all grouped together like this they kinda look like multicolored sperm. Anyway, it is made from natural latex rubber, a renewable and sustainable resource and the black one contains 30% reclaimed-rubber.
Lately, I’ve really been into braided and knotted collars and leashes. I don’t know what it is, but they sure look nice. I love these Sailor’s Knot leads from Mascot. How cute are the matching collars with the bone buckle?
I have to admit, I have not invested in any tracking devices for my dog. I do have those $8 collar tags on each dog with their name a phone number in case of emergency. However, I’ve often wondered if I should make the extra investment in a special ID tag.

Messenger Dog is a communication system that gets hooked up to a dog for use during disasters when normal ways of communication are unavailable. It can record voices or video messages as well so that families can identify and send information to other family members, and even store geographical information. The dogs can work in teams and spread out from a central location, returning to that base camp with data that human volunteers can download and view.

Every year since 2003, HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue holds their annual Bullyfest in Southern NJ, a festival dedicated to the mushy-faced, wrinkly, underbited, snoring, grunting, belching, farting and all-around lovable bulldog. The fest has been growing steadily every year and last year it was so big that this year it had to be held at a new location. It was this past weekend, and my husband and I went and brought the pups, as Lulu is an American Bulldog. Surprisingly, there was only one other AB there!
Molly Mutt recently launched some new patterns for their doggie duvets. They’re named La Vie En Rose, Pictures of You, Wishbone, Mr. Postman and I Walk the Line (pictured in that order). All of Molly Mutt’s dog duvet fabrics are named after songs because of the owner, Molly Mundt’s, love of music!
