Bark Out Loud: Does Your Dog Wear Clothes?

I think some dogs look adorable in sweaters but, admittedly, I’ve never really felt the urge to put clothes on Wrigley. Except that one time my friend made him a sweater and I put it on him to see what would happen. He gave me the “look of death” and stood, frozen in place, for about 20 minutes. I thought he looked quite dapper, but it was obvious he thought it was some sort of punishment. Sad day.
So, let’s hear it. Do you dress up your dog? Do they love it or hate it? How extreme do their outfits get?

My dog loves to get dressed. He has various halloween costumes and tshirts and sweaters. However it’s too hot for him to wear clothes right now. But check my website and you’ll see his handsome pictures. I also have fun creative grooming him with his handsome orange mowhawk and ankle poofs.
Elka has a red hooded sweatshirt for when she’s cold. That’s it! She does get excited when it comes out, so I guess she likes it well enough, or at least realizes that she’ll be warm.
My dog Percival has a better wardrobe than most people! I have several coats that I have bought from England (He is a Jack Russell, so he’s English!), rain coats, sweaters, bow ties and regular ties( for when I take him to work- business casual!) He puts up with it quite well. My next purchase is going to be a beret and a fedora. I’m not sure if he’ll be up for it, but it will make great photo ops!
Sir Gary LOVES to wear clothing!! He jumps up on me and stretches out his arms to let me dress him. I even started up a dog bow tie company because he is just THAT stylish!
My dogs, a chihuahua mix and a lab mix, each have a sweater and usually wear something simple and comfortable on Halloween, if anything bothers them though I take it off. They love their sweaters on cold days!
I never thought I would be the type to dress up my dog, but pitbull-type dogs get very cold with their short hair, and this can be hard since we live in Chicago. It started out with sweaters and coats (http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/search?q=snood)
, but when we realized how many people wanted to meet them, and in turn learn the realities about pitbull-type dogs, we kind of went from there, and it seems to make everyone they meet so happy. Here they are at Chicago’s Pride Parade in full gear:

We have 2 pit bulls, one loves to wear shirts, one does not AT ALL. The smaller one has a higher metabolism so we put shirts on her when it’s cooler. She loves it. I say, “Wanna put on a shirt?” and she starts doing a little dance.
My chihuahua Ash loves clothes, I live in Thailand and he really likes the heat, but once we are inside an airconditioned room he shivers and freezes, I’m about to move back to germany with him and have started to design and make an entire wardrobe for him and other dogs under a new brand, since i know he will hate the chilly weather. His favorite are fluffy sweat hoodies.
