You may have seen Kenya Hara’s most recent project, Architecture for Dogs floating around the Internet this past week. I originally spotted it in the latest issue of print publication Metropolis Magazine (highly recommended, P.S.), whose now-online article contains looooads of fantastic photos from this project to peruse (and amuse). But first, what’s this “Architecture for Dogs” business all about anyway?
Editor’s Note: In an effort to sniff out the best new dog products, we’ve launched Mingus & Dottie Try It, a monthly review column where our contributor Katherine and her pooches put some of these pawesome finds to the test!
This month Mingus and Dottie, in their undying efforts to find you the very best dog products (as well as live lives enviable to most humans), have reviewed the Kingston natural memory foam dog bed from Essentia. So, what did they think?
You may recall that one of the items on my 13 Project list was to make and donate fleece blankets to a local rescue. Well, I finally sat down over the weekend and got started making these cozy little blankets. I’m only about halfway through the 25 I plan on donating to Friends of Animals Utah, but trust me when I say that these are insanely easy!! If you can use scissors, you can make these. Heck, get some friends together and make a night of it! Your local shelter animals will thank you. Interested? Let’s get started!
The Koppinen Dog House by Finnish designer Saara Utti is designed with form and function — and limited space — in mind. This plywood beauty is available in three sizes, its space-saving design fitting just-right in whichever corner you place it!
The Dog House Sofa is the first in a series of upcoming pet products from Korean designer Seungji Mun — and I am OBSESSED with it!
