We’re big fans of Wildebeest here at Dog Milk, so when I saw that they had recently launched an entire new product line, I got REALLY SUPER EXCITED. You may be familiar with their Meadow Rugs and Bandana Collars already. They’ve taken the same playful, design conscious approach and applied it to their new series of colorful collars, leashes, bowls, and waste bag carriers, called the Funston Collection.
If you were to make a list of my 10 most favorite things, receiving packages in the mail would probably rank somewhere right around 3 or 4. And if the package is a surprise? EXTRA POINTS. Bugsy’s Box, a monthly subscription service, is a new, fun way to receive a monthly special surprise for you and your dog delivered right to your front door.
BarkBox is a paid subscription service that delivers a box of modern dog goodies (toys, treats, leashes, etc.) to your door every month based on your dog’s size, age, and breed. Which, for a
hermit online shopper like me, is pretty much the bees knees. Bonus? 10% of all proceeds go to local rescue groups and shelters!

For dog-lovers who are passionate about their politics (and their poop-picking-up duties), MetroPaws is introducing a line of limited edition waste bags just for you! Smear Campaign Political Poop Bags are available in packages of 80 degradable bags, as your favorite Democrap (Obama) or Repooplican (Romney). A great gift for political allies and opponents alike! (Just don’t be surprised if one ends up on your doorstep…)
Hey, this is pretty awesome: The Dogbag Butler is a handy, smartly-designed waste bag dispenser that can be mounted anywhere, such as right by your door, for dog bags always at the ready. The Butler (available in white or black) dispenses one scented, tie-handle bag at a time like a tissue, and is even weatherproof for outdoor use. Maybe I’ll put one in my front yard — you know, for the convenience of others. Ahem.
As part of the MFA Designer as Author & Entrepreneur program at SVA, design student Jose Fresneda designed Baxter, a very fancy pooper scooper concept.
Not only am I swooning over Cogo Pet’s simple, modern pet grooming products and their packaging, I’m impressed at the way they do business. When you make a purchase on the Cogo Pet’s website, during checkout you can insert the name and contact info for your favorite animal health rescue/charity and Cogo Pet will donate 50% of the product price to your cause.
