With the Lost & Find designed by Chet Rosales (Laorosa), the worry of losing your pet is put to ease with these integrated GPS dog collars. Put the collar on your dog the next time you take a walk in the woods or you’re at the park. If your dog wanders out of sight, simple open the app on your mobile device and track their location via Google Maps or built-in camera with an Augmented Reality viewer.

Tim Flach takes portraits of animals, many of which are dogs. His expressive portraits are much like human portraits rather than snaps of dogs in their natural habitats. There is an emphasis on the traits of the particular kind of dog he is photographing almost as if he is trying to exaggerate what is already there. I can’t imagine what it is like to get that one great shot, especially with an animal who is far less cooperative than a human!

Thanks to Modern Dog magazine for including Dog Milk in their Top Dog Sites in The Scoop section! Check it out in the Summer 2010 issue on page 17 (and read the rest of the mag, too — you won’t be disappointed!) How cute is that little milk-drinking doggie drawing they created?
If you’ve been anywhere near the Northeast in the past 2 weeks then you’ve experienced the unforgiving heat wave we’ve had to endure. Every day, I took my pups outside for an afternoon walk and we got about 10 paces and then they just stopped. And panted. And walked 1 step and stopped again to pant. Then we would go inside and they’d inhale gallons of water.

It got me thinking about my dog’s hydration. A few weeks back Brian sent me information about his company and product, Dogdration. Dogdration is deionized water for dogs that is enhanced with electrolytes for hydration, ginseng for health, as well as glucosamine for hips and joints. It is also flavored with allergen free all natural peanut butter flavoring — yum!
Do you use your regular sponge to clean your pet’s bowl? Guilty.

Don’t ever forget which sponge you use to clean your dog’s bowl again with these bone-shapes sponges!

Dog Tag Art is a website where you can create custom pet ID tags, or choose from a variety of designs created by the Dog Tag Art community. If you’re an artist, you can also send them your designs on their website. If you’re curious about the quality of the tags, they have a few videos on their website testing the tags’ strength against a hammer, blender and even a train!
