Pawalla boxes are curated based on your dog’s size and age, and every item is handpicked by Pawalla’s Ph.D. pet nutritionist. Only organic, all-natural products are included, so you can try out new foods, treats, and health and beauty items for your dog with an added assurance of safety. Typical products might come from companies like Stella and Chewy’s, Sojos, Primal, Weruva, or Zuke’s. Subscriptions are available for both Deluxe (pictured here) and Mini boxes.

Pawalla boxes contain a variety of items to appeal to both you and your pup. There’s treats and toys (woo hoo!) but also care items like supplements, cleansing wipes, and shampoo. We first featured Maddie, the coonhound with impeccable balance, a little over a year ago, when she was off with companion Theron Humphrey on a documentary project across the United States. What have Maddie and Theron been up to since then? Well, as it turns out, they’ve been busy.

After Maddie’s hilarious and heartwarming photos brought her viral fame, she inked a book deal with Chronicle Books for Maddie on Things: A Super Serious Project about Dogs and Physics, a compendium of the Instagram photos taken of Maddie on her journey.

Now Maddie and Theron have hit the road again, touring the country in support of Maddie’s book and collecting images and interviews for a new documentary project, Why We Rescue. While on tour, they stopped by the set of Today for an interview (and, of course, some perching).

You can follow Maddie and Theron on the road via their tour blog, where the interactive map will let you know when they’ll be passing your way. If you can’t get out to meet them in person, you can keep up with what they’re up to through Facebook and Twitter. If you want to help support Maddie and Theron on the road (or just have some really good cheap fun), download the Maddie Cam app (for just under a buck – half a gallon of gas!), the proceeds of which help to finance their trip. You can amuse yourself superimposing Maddie on anything you can take a picture of. (Here she is on a bush outside my house. Seriously, best 99 cents I ever spent.)

By now you’re probably familiar with Boo, “The World’s Cutest Dog”. This adorable little Pomeranian has nearly 7 million Facebook fans, not to mention national TV appearances and a few book deals under his belt. Boo’s cuteness crusade doesn’t stop there, though. Everyone’s favorite pooch has now been immortalized in a collection of plush toys from Gund, wearing everything from birthday hats to bathing suits!

You might already be familiar with Nice Mice for You if you remember their calendar we featured back at the end of last year or if you’re a fan of French bulldogs, Corgis, or cute things in general, like illustrations of dogs brushing their teeth. The delightful shop features art prints, greeting cards, calendars, and magnets — all the work of Croatian illustrator and graphic designer Natrashka. Head on over and take a look.

The BOB Pet Bowl by PetPet Studios is a 2-in-1 raised feeder with one rather unique feature: a built-in moat to prevent ants and other creepy-crawlies from reaching your pet’s food! Like I mentioned above, this bowl is BPA-free and made from Polypropylene, a material that is highly resistant to acids, chemicals, and heat. Generally, I prefer stainless steel bowls for their higher resistance to bacteria, but the BOB is dishwasher-safe (top rack) so with some diligence this might not be a concern. Also, its small size lends itself well to being a travel bowl. Traveling with your dog? Throw this light-weight, shatter-resistant bowl in your car!

Speaking of size, currently the BOB Pet Bowl is only available in one size; the food bowl holds about a half cup of kibble, so it’s ideal for small and/or toy breeds. The raised design (just under 3 inches in height) is also ideal for relieving neck strain in shorter dogs. I’d love to see more sizes available in the future, but if you have a small dog (or, hey, even a cat — we’re not entirely biased), you can snag a BOB Pet Bowl, in four different colors, right now for $34.

One thing to consider, of course, is if you have a chewer in the house or a dog that likes to carry their bowl around — Polypropylene is a destructible material if chewed. It won’t shatter or break if dropped, but a feisty pup might enjoy sinking their teeth into it. If that happens, though, the BOB Pet Bowl is 100% recyclable… so, plus one for the planet!
