Frank Lloyd Wright is the architectural genius behind countless numbers of well known projects. But what isn’t well known is the fact that FLW once designed a dog house for a 12-year-old boy’s black Labrador named Eddie. The boy was the son of Richard Berger, a client of Wright’s. At the time FLW was designing the Richard Berger House of San Anselmo, CA. The boy wrote a personal letter to Wright asking if he would add on the dog house that he would personally fund from his bike route. Wright agreed and the “canis domus” above was built.
