Whoever invented these is a genius and deserves his or her millions. These are so great for my mixed-brood of five.

Well, just you try giving a pill to cat without pill pockets! Sometimes Lulu would swallow it, but Beans never would. It was so hard and they'd always spit them out. Then the pills were all slimy and gross, making it even harder to get the dogs to swallow them. So frustrating!

We always used to put the pill in the back of our dog’s throat. Sometimes Lulu would swallow it, but Beans never would. I actually use the Beef kind. What I do, is tear them in half and, depending on the pill, I will save the other half for the next day (since they are a little pricey) or if the pill doesn't go down easily, I give him the piece with the pill and then follow that up with the other piece. That way he swallows the first one to get at the second piece. These were a life saver when I had to give my dog his first pill. I've never had a puppy before and literally spent about 45 minutes online, watching videos, reading articles finding the best way to give him a pill. I tried Am cheese, cream cheese, bread, turkey, everything. One site even recommended putting it in the back of their throat so they swallow it. That was the one that sent me over the edge & I started to cry because I was sure this new puppy would hate me for the rest of his life. Finally I went back to my vet for help and the vet tech pulled out a Greenie pill pocket which Tuck was happy to swallow. Whenever he has pills now I ALWAYS make sure I have some in the house.

I LOVE these for my puppy! I actually use the Beef kind.
