Introducing the Dog Milk ‘Donation by Design’ Collection for blanketID
Dog Milkers! We have a very, very, VERY exciting announcement to make today. Remember our post about the Donation by Design tags from blanketID? The ones where designers create a tag and a portion of the sales goes to the designer’s charity of choice? Yeah, that one! Well, we’ve been sitting on this info for a little while now, so you can imagine our excitement at finally being able to spill the beans. Drum roll, please…
We are thrilled to introduce the Dog Milk Donation by Design Collection for blanketID!
There aren’t enough exclamation marks in the world to adequately express how stoked we are about this. Seriously. So, want to hear more about our collaboration? Read on!
What more could a dog want than diamonds and bold, geometric graphics? (Well, probably bacon.) The minimalist Diamond tags were designed by Dog Milk founder and editor of Design Milk, Jaime Derringer. Aren’t they awesome?? Your dog can show off their glamorous side — without getting TOO crazy and blinged-out, of course.
The Wink pattern was designed by Dog Milk Managing Editor, Capree Kimball (that’s me!). I just loves me some triangles. Each design is available in two sizes and colorways, to suit any modern dog’s needs.
The cool part about the Donation by Design program is that $5 from the sale of each and every tag goes to charity (plus, an on-going portion of any membership fees). The charities we chose to receive donations from the sale of the Dog Milk tags are: HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue in New Jersey (Diamond tags) and Friends of Animals Utah (Wink tags). Both organizations do great work in bringing awareness to local communities as well as finding safe and loving homes for animals in need. Their commitment to animal welfare is why we’ve chosen these two non-profit groups to receive donations from the sales of our tags.
As with all blanketID tags, the Diamond and Wink tags are connected to your pet’s profile on blanketID. You can send their vital information in an immediate ‘Missing Pet’ broadcast to local shelters, animal hospitals, rescues, SPCA locations, and other blanket ID members in your area. You can also print your own lost/stolen pet posters and, when your pet is notified as found using a smartphone, you can receive a GPS map and driving instructions to that location.
I’m also excited to announce that, as a bonus, blanketID is offering an extra 2 year membership (worth $22) to every tag purchased from now until the end of March. That means you can snag a tag and membership, a value of about $47, for $25 total. And, of course, $5 from each tag will still go to rescue groups! That’s a pretty sweet deal!
Y’all know the immensely talented Robyn Arouty, right?? We’re total fan girls of her incredible photography and are beyond elated that she has volunteered her time and talents to make these tags truly pop! I mean, really. Can you even believe these images? AMAZING. In addition to her stunning photos, Robyn has also created a Donation by Design tag: Maya. The donations from the sale of the Maya tag will go to Crest-Care, Chinese Crested Breed Rescue.
