I had a chance to see these super durable (almost freakishly durable) dog toys from PrideBites in person at BlogPaws last month, where PrideBites won “Coolest New Company of 2012″. I was blown away by their all-in-one-ness: each toy is crafted with soft fleece, two layers of “rip-stop” material, and reinforced stitching — all of which encase squeakers housed inside stuffing made of foam. Oh, and they’re machine washable and, if your dog is a water lover, they float, too! Did you catch all that??

Their toy collection includes animals (shown above) as well as collegiate logos for those with some alma mater pride. But the coolest thing about PrideBites is that you can order custom dog toys in any shape you want, say your company’s logo, the likeness of your own pup, or whatever else you can think up. (Maybe even a milk carton with a paw print! Eh? Eh?)

  1. “Freakishly strong” is a descriptor I LOVE to hear when it comes to dog toys!

The fact that you can get them custom made is also really rad. I’m definitely going to check this place out!

  2. I actually just bought a Pride Bite at my groomer. My little Isabelle loves it! She usually tears the stuffing out of toys but this one seems like a lot higher quality build than those other dime a dozen Chinese toys. You know which ones I’m talking about!
It looks like Pride Bites makes ones in the shape of college mascots too! I’ll definitely hit that UT Longhorn up.

  3. I bought the fish after reading this post for the ” freakishly durable” comment and it is not as durable as I thought. My frenchie almost got to the squeaky in an hour, pretty good compared to other stuff plush toys. It is great that Pridebites gives some of the proceeds to pets in need. The toy is durable but not freakishly durable. My little guy likes it that is all that matters in the end.
