Remember with Membo

Remember with Membo in grooming hygiene for humans

Dreamfarm, the Australian innovator of quirky design products like Tapi the tapwater fountain, has done it again.

We all know that taking care of pets can be a challenge for kids, and with all the things we have to do every day, sometimes it’s not so easy for us adults either! Dreamfarm’s latest product, Membo, helps us remember the most important responsibility when it comes to pets — to feed them.

Taking the guess work out of whether a job has been done, Membo is a visual wall chart with a slot for each day. Once you’ve fed Fido for the day, simply flip the tile.

Each Membo comes with different icons you can use to slide into the slot aside from the dog, including fish and cats, Dreamfarm will eventually have more options for download.

I guess you just have to remember to flip the tile!

Here’s a cute video of how Membo works:

Membo comes in eight fun colors and will retail for AUD$24.95 on dreamfarm.com.au.

  1. Luckily we can never forget to feed our two, ’cause Dottie will give us the death stare if we’re even a second off schedule (and then there’s the drooling and moaning). This is great, though, if you have a household where multiple people are responsible for caring for the pets and everyone’s on a different schedule! I need a similar thing to remind me whether I’ve taken medication, paid my credit card bill, turned off my curling iron, changed the air filters… :D

  2. Do people really forget to feed their dogs though? And most dogs won’t let you forget if they’re hungry anyways. Plus not everyone feeds their dog once a day. I feed mine at night and then a little in the morning.

    • I think sometimes life gets in the way and we forget things, but I know my dogs would never let me forget haha they are like little piglets. I think for dogs who eat more than once a day, it could present a challenge. However, as I mentioned in my response to Margaret, it’s a great way to help kids learn the responsibility of having a pet.

I think this is great! My dogs do not let us know if they have eaten or not, (plus I do not always feed them all twice a day depending on exercise levels) and with multiple people in the house sharing duties it would be nice to have that visual. For twice a day feeding dogs, just get 2 of these.

I also think its great for helping monitor kids with responsibilities, and helping the kids monitor themselves. I dont believe pet care should be the sole responsibility of a child, but it can be a wonderful learning experience to give them tasks like feeding the dog/fish/etc, and something like this is a great way to be sure the kid is doing it (or if the parent needs to fill in sometimes). I know as a kid my mom just made charts for us to check off when we did chores; to me this is an easier, prettier way to do the same.

    • I agree – it’s great to keep track in a household where no one specifically owns the responsibility of feeding the pet. I also agree that it’s a fantastic teaching tool to help kids learn about responsibility.

  4. Jersey lets me know when it’s time for dins :D I could see something likt this being really useful for remembering to give your pet a pill.

This doesn’t help you remember to feed the dog, it help ensure that the dog doesn’t get fed twice. It notes that the dog was fed, so someone doesn’t come along later and feed them again.
Wondering how this would work with my animals, who get fed 2X a day?
