The Scoop: Erin Loechner, Bernie and George

Juggling an active Internet career with writing, speaking, styling and consulting, Erin Loechner can be found daily at DesignForMankind.com, her art/design blog that was recently honored as one of the London Time’s top 50 design blogs in the world, as well as DesignForMiniKind.com, a kid-friendly sister site. She currently hosts a renovation column on HGTV.com where she catalogs her experiences as an impromptu interior designer (she’s really good, people!). Erin is also expecting her first child this July — a baby girl! To say I’m thrilled to bits to have Erin and her cutie patootie pups on Dog Milk today is an understatement. (I don’t even think it’s possible to count how many bits I’m thrilled to!) Erin is actually the first blogging peer I ever met in real life and there’s a special, sunshine-filled spot in my heart for her. BUT! Enough about my undying girl crush, let’s meet Bernie and George!

She will be sharing some of her favorite doggie designs here and on the Dog Milk Facebook page and Twitter account, as well as heading up some brand new features. I thought it would be a great way to introduce her to you by giving you “The Scoop“! Welcome, Capree & Wrigley!

The Scoop: Mollie Green and Stickers

Chicago based painter, printmaker, and entrepreneur Mollie Green is the creative mastermind behind the clever stationary brand La Familia Green. She describes her stationary aesthetic as “Mexican folk art meets Scandinavian designs meets wildlife preserve.” I love where Mollie draws her inspiration from! La Familia Green’s cards are full of laugh-out-loud charm and burst with personality. After coming across a collection of La Familia Green cards years ago, I just had to get to know the witty woman behind them. Beyond her sense of humor, I was delighted to find out that Mollie Green is also an advocate for making environmentally responsible choices, and an animal philanthropist who donates a percentage of all sales to support local no-kill animal shelters. Enjoy The Scoop on Mollie and Stickers!

The Scoop: Bob Williams, Violet and Lily

You might not recognize Bob right away but you’ll know his name — it’s practically household. As one half of the dynamic duo of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Bob Williams is well known in the design community as “a big deal.” His designs have graced the pages of Elle Decor and Better Home & Gardens, and is even an accomplished author. Not only this, but I knew Bob and I were kindred spirits when I logged onto the MGBW website and discovered Lulu’s Friends around 2006. Lulu, a bulldog, was the beloved mascot for the company and a big inspiration for both Mitchell and Bob. Lulu sadly passed away a few years ago, but lives on through Lulu’s friends. See if you can find my Lulu on Lulu’s Friends. Though Lulu and her memory could never be replaced, Bob has added two new bulldogs to the MGBW family — this time Frenchies. Here’s the Scoop on these two cuties.

Above, Bob hangs out in the James Chair with Violet (left) and Lily (right).

She also owns rescue dogs, and we love that! I asked her to share more about the two furry “kids” in her life.

The Scoop: Gemma Correll and Mr. Norman Pickles

Gemma Correll is a UK-based illustrator whose work can best be described as adorable. From her Daily Diaries to her blog, her drawings always make me smile. I remember a while back hearing her mention quite frequently that she longed for a pudgy pug companion. I was so happy when she finally found her pug partner. Here’s some more info about him…

The Scoop: Jonathan and Pepe

Jonathan Lo is the principal and founder of J3 Productions, a multidisciplinary design studio and consultancy servicing lifestyle, fashion, decor, and retail. He’s also the creator of one of my favorite design blogs called Happy Mundane. Through his blog, Jonathan celebrates good design of any kind, and takes the time to appreciate some everyday things that often go overlooked. He lives and works in Southern California with his adorable rescue named Pepe. I’m always excited to catch a glimpse of this charismatic pooch on Happy Mundane, so I was over the moon to get the full Scoop on Jonathan and Pepe.
