Moleskine’s newest additions to their collection of timeless notebooks are dedicated to the passions of our lives. Of course, this includes our pets! The Moleskine Passions Dog Journal contains 240 pages split into 10 tabbed sections to record and recall useful and fun information about your dog. The first 5 sections are pre-themed as Getting Ready, Personality, Dog Log, Traveling and Care. The remaining five tabs are blank for you to customize yourself, with the 200+ stickers that are included in the back of the journal. This is the perfect gift for any new dog owner!
I spend a considerable amount of time at my desk, so I’m always on the search for cool desktop accessories to add a bit of personality to my workspace. Naturally, I went nuts when I came across this USB Hubdog. Each one of this little guy’s legs is a USB port, which is perfect for those of us who never seem to have enough. I’m definitely going to give this doggy a home.
From the Bauhaus to the Beamer, I’m a huge fan of German design. The folks over at German company Cloud7 have put their collective finger on what so many designers from their country have espoused: the importance of eye-catching, clean, functional design. Cloud7′s line of doggie wares (featuring bowls, beds, toys, and pillows) is the newest entry on my list of Favorite German Things (right up there with their chocolate cake).
Art director, video director, and artist Nagi Noda created these incredible “hair hats” a few years back, but I’m still completely crazy over them. Using animals as her inspiration, Nagi sculpted hair molds into fabulous and over-the-top works of art. Her work was seen as so brilliant that Lady Gaga commissioned a hair hat of her very own, making artist Nagi Noda a hair sculpting sensation. Our Dog Milk favorites? The hair hat dogs of course!
These Christmas ornaments by British ceramic designer Reiko Kaneko are utterly brilliant! They’re designed to show what your dog’s reflection would look like if he were sniffing an ornament, which is something I can’t seem to stop my dog from doing. Oh, how I would love to have a tree full of these! I think I’ll have a custom ornament made for next year.
STOCKING STUFFERS! Two words that, I swear, if I hear again, I’m going to scream. But yet, these cute dog-themed chewing gum packs from Blue Q… awesome stocking stuffers. Choose from “Greetings!” or “If I was a dog, I would so lick your face right now.” (The former English teacher in me doesn’t like the grammar in that second slogan. But still… cute.)
Grab ‘em for cheap at Blue Q.
The Companion Rack by Gavin Coyle is a playful interpretation of a wire form magazine rack. Gavin cleverly captures the ritual of a dog fetching the paper by designing the rack to hold one rolled up newspaper in it’s “mouth.” I adore his lighthearted yet sophisticated approach to design!
