Gus and Abby is an animal-inspired stationery and print shop run by Canadian artist Shannon Alexandra. Her modern illustrations feature many of our favorite canine companions, although the odd camel and pig make an appearance as well. It’s Valentine’s Day (kisses to you all!), and do you know what has stolen my heart? These cute doggie prints, totes, and cards from Alexandra Snowdon. Her designs are screenprinted by hand in her Manchester, UK shop using eco-friendly materials. They make me smile.
I’m already the resident “crazy dog lady” among my friends and family, so why not take that title and run with it for the holidays? Well, February is upon us, which means we’re being assaulted with hearts and Cupids and “every kiss begins with Kaayyyyyy” at every turn. Even though I’m married and in love and all that jazz, Valentine’s Day usually makes me want to kick things. When you think about it, though, we all have the best Valentines around — our pups!
