Doggle

I’ve always wanted to teach my dogs (well, Mingus – Dottie’s not smart enough) to fetch me a beer from the fridge. I mean, really, how much would that trick kill at parties — plus just be generally useful in daily life? I think the Doggle, designed by Tommaso Ceschi for United Pets, might be a crucial tool in my mission.

Doca Pet Dog Face Rubber Toy

Paying homage to classic Army Men toys, Doca Pet’s Dog Face Rubber Toy is well-designed, charming, and just the sort of dog toy I love bringing into my home. Though my dog won’t be able to appreciate the clever design as much as I do, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled by the chewy, natural rubber texture and the great peanut butter scent!

Dinosaur Nylabones

As a kid, I enjoyed digging around my neighborhood for dinosaur fossils, and Jurassic Park is still my go-to guilty pleasure flick. Yes, I’m a dinosaur nerd. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that Nylabones are available in dino-form. Yes! You can easily pick up this awesome T-Rex at your local Petco, or you can order one through Amazon where Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus are also available. I think my dog is going to need the whole collection!

Kong for Senior Dogs

Having spent the past weekend with my parent’s pack of senior chihuahuas, I have suddenly become very aware of the specific needs of aging dogs. Particularly after observing the smallest of their four chihuahuas, Tony Montana (who I now refer to as “Nearly-Toothless Tony), oh-so slowly chewing away at his dinner. The very next day I went down to the local Petsmart where I discovered Kong for Senior Dogs. Gentle yet durable, Senior Kong is perfect for aging dogs. Also available are Kong Stuff’n Senior Snacks to place inside your Kong and, if you happen to have a “Toothless Tony” of your own, Kong Stuff’n Senior Treat Paste.
