Well, pups, Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time for Dog Milk’s annual Halloween costume roundup! While browsing Pinterest and Etsy might give me delusions of grandeur in the DIY department, if you’re anything like me, you’re a) not very crafty and b) always throwing things together at the last minute. So if you’re interested in dressing your dog up this year, a ready-made costume might be just what you’re looking for. Good news: we’ve rounded up some of the best dog costumes to be found on the interwebs for 2011. Check ‘em out after the jump.
As the fortunate dog-mommy of a sweet little dog who loves to dress up, this is a very exciting time of the year for me. Deciding what Miles is going to be for Halloween is just so much fun! This year, I knew without a doubt, when I came across this shark costume at Old Navy, I had found the winner. One of Miles’ defining features is his prominent, yet adorable, underbite. What’s cuter than a shark with a massive underbite? Not much. (Wouldn’t you agree?) So now that Miles and I are Halloween-ready, we thought we would share some of our favorite costumes with you.
Editor’s note: Please welcome Christine E. Martinez of LAMA designs to Dog Milk! Christine (and her modern dog Miles) — an interior designer, blogger and dog-lover — will be a regular contributor to the site. You can learn more about Christine and Miles on our About page.
Hipsters. They’re so hot right now. Unhappy Hipsters, Hipster is the New Homeless, Stuff Hipsters Hate, etc. The long list of blogs celebrating hipster culture through humor seems to be growing at an exponential rate. In the sea of emerging hipster blogs, my personal favorite is the always hilarious Hipster Puppies. What’s cuter than a Ray-Ban wearing, Pabst Blue Ribbon sipping, Mad Men watching hipster pup? The answer? Not much. It’s no wonder that Hipster Puppies is in the process of becoming a soon to be released book! Inspired by one of my favorite daily reads, I put together a roundup of some great products to help your dog achieve this of-the-moment look. Check it out if you want to, I don’t really care. (Wow, that was so hipster of me).
