In Wrigley and Smash’s little corner of the world, the temperature broke 100 degrees this week. ONE HUNDRED DEGREES. If that doesn’t mark the official kick-off of summer, I don’t know what does. In an effort to keep these pups cool and happy and spoiled rotten, I whipped up some homemade doggie ice cream in not one, but three flavors! Each recipe only has three simple ingredients and is a piece of cake to make. Check them out below — and help your favorite four-legged friend through the dog-days of summer!
I spotted this colorful DIY dog collar project on Instructables recently and immediately fell in love with it! The tutorial has steps for making a collar from scratch, but the yarn applique technique would be pretty easy to apply to an old collar you already have. Check out how right here!
I know we just posted (a super awesome) Dog-I-Y last week, but I couldn’t possibly wait a whole month to share this DIY project! Ben Uyeda, from the incredibly cool DIY blog HomeMade Modern, sent over his latest project: a DIY geometric wooden dog house. ISN’T IT AMAZING? I’m pretty sure I involuntarily spit coffee all over my monitor when I opened his email and saw the photos.
I’m excited to share a very special Dog-I-Y with you today! Natalya Zahn, a brilliant illustrator and mom to a handsome dog named Oscar, is here sharing a very clever (and easy!) DIY project that any doggy parent will appreciate and be able to make. Read on!
I let out what can only be described as an “epic squee” when I first saw these Schnauzer sugar cookies. I mean… THEY’RE SCHNAUZER SUGAR COOKIES, y’all! Amazing. Of course, you can make them in whatever breed (or shape!) your heart desires. Check out the recipe and tutorial over on Yuki the Dog.
I’ve been re-doing my home office recently and am finally to the fun part: accessories! These easy DIY cork pencil cups are right up my alley — and they’re made from recycled aluminum cans, too! So, now you can stay organized, show off your dog love, and be all green ‘n’ stuff. That’s a whole lot of WIN.
Pick your favorite breed, grab some cork, and then head over to The 3 Rs Blog for the full tutorial!
