Fetch Poster from Roll & Tumble Press

I love Roll & Tumble Press’ no-holds-barred approach to creating hand-printed posters and prints. Their newest poster, Fetch is made from hand-carved wood blocks and inspired by their four rescue dogs.

1. Colorful prints
During last week’s visit to the Martha Stewart Living offices — one thing is for certain — big colorful prints are HUGE this summer and are making their way into the pet fashion marketplace this Fall. Be on the lookout for more big bold prints coming to a dog clothier near you! One example is this tutu harness dress from Etsy seller LiLYorkieFruFru (LOL).
Remember when you got that big, fat September issue of your favorite magazine in the mail? The Fall fashion one? I do. I would spend hours pouring over it, flipping through it’s glossy pages of deliciously expensive clothing, happy over-18 models posing as schoolgirls, wishing I could look like that when going back to school. Those days might be over for me, but that feeling I get each August when I begin to think about the Fall has never gone away. It’s almost a feeling of rebirth and excitement. But, I digress…really what I want to talk about here is Fall fashion — for dogs.
Now, I’m not one to dress up my dog in Juicy Couture and Ed Hardy, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t fashion trends to take note of — especially for the modern pup. Beans and I got together to peruse the Interwebs and find some of the best Fall trends for the modern dog this year. Think of this as your Fall fashion issue of doggie Vogue.

Doesn’t he look excited? It might be because I said “Fall Fashion” or maybe it’s because I’m holding his favorite ball…

Is your pet a couch potato? If so, ModPet has created the perfect modern lounging sofa and chaise for your furry friend. Get the chaise separately or buy both pieces to create the ultimate doggie sectional. The cushions are made out of 100% cotton denim fabric and filled with 2-inch memory foam and 1/2-inch polyester batting. The large main cushion has a removable exterior for easy washing. The frame is made of pine wood and MDF, able to withstand up to 165 pounds. I would, however, not recommend buying one for your Saint Bernard.

The guys behind Superstudio can turn a favorite photo of your pooch into a fun and colorful pop-art portrait. All you have to do is just email them the photo and they’ll digitally draw and color it and then mail you the print. The pet portraits are available through their Etsy store (p.s. they do humans, too!).

It is really hard to lose a pet. It’s also very hard to decide what to do. No one wants to go through it, but as pet owners we all will some day.
Studio 1212 has created some lovely modern pet cremation urns that are much more handsome than the ones I’ve see out there. The grim, hideous selection of pet urns that I’ve seen makes me cringe. In contrast, these are beautiful and would appropriately complement the memory of your pet.

I found the LuxuryPaws shop on Etsy and I’m telling you — braided leashes are IN. These are some beautiful handmade rolled and braided leather leads.
