Modernist Cat

Yes, I said cat. However, Modernist Cat doesn’t JUST make cat furniture – they have a cute dog bed, too that doubles as an end table. Finally, something that would actually fit into my decor!

We first featured See Scout Sleep back in July of last year, and since then the business has grown quite a bit (and we’re glad it did!). Beyond beds, See Scout Sleep now has a collection of geometric collars and matching leashes.

Q: What do I love more than modern dogs and modern chairs?
A: Nothing.
That’s why I think these necklaces by Kari Maples of Say WOOF! Photography are so great. She transforms her photos into silhouettes and then turns them into crafty and cute necklaces.

Pop Doggie creates modern dog art prints and magnets that celebrates a large variety of dog breeds with a humorous approach. This adorable Etsy shop has a whopping thirteen pages of products, and I have to admit, I checked out almost every single one. I couldn’t stop laughing at Pop Doggie’s funny and clever breed captions.

Dutch Dog Amsterdam is a new line of Dutch artist inspired dog leashes and dog collars. Made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycled webbing and printed with eco-friendly, lead-free, non-toxic printing, you can be proud that they are also non-toxic and eco-friendly.

Although made for a cat, I think this lounge from Etsy seller CANOPYstudio would be suitable for tiny dogs, too. Also, check out their geometric graphic fabrics – lovely.

Illustrator Emily Mackey sells adorable stationery in her Etsy shop, Illustrated Cards. Not only are they cute, but because they’re printed on 310gm recycled card and wrapped in a biodegradable cornstarch sleeve, they’re eco-friendly too.

When it comes to grooming products for my dogs (and for myself), I like the idea of keeping things as simple and natural as possible (although, of course we have the $30 bottle of special medicated soap from the vet from when somedog decided to get a crazy skin rash issue). Prunella’s dog soap, which is handmade/handmilled in Portland, Oregon, contains all-natural, vegan ingredients, making it super safe and certainly dog-friendly.
