Illustrator Emily Mackey sells adorable stationery in her Etsy shop, Illustrated Cards. Not only are they cute, but because they’re printed on 310gm recycled card and wrapped in a biodegradable cornstarch sleeve, they’re eco-friendly too.

When it comes to grooming products for my dogs (and for myself), I like the idea of keeping things as simple and natural as possible (although, of course we have the $30 bottle of special medicated soap from the vet from when somedog decided to get a crazy skin rash issue). Prunella’s dog soap, which is handmade/handmilled in Portland, Oregon, contains all-natural, vegan ingredients, making it super safe and certainly dog-friendly.

With effective yet gentle, natural ingredients like olive oil, tea tree oil, oatmeal and peppermint oil, Prunella’s dog soap (available in Peppermint & Tea Tree and Lemongrass & Tea Tree) would probably treat those pesky skin issues way better than that $30 bottle of chemicals. Plus, do you see that “stumptown organic holler mountain ground coffee beans” up there in that ingredients list? I don’t think I even know what that means, but I’m pretty sure I like the sound of every word.

RESQ}pup leashes are made of marine grade rope that has been hand spliced and whipped just the way a sailor would. Everything is hand-done and made right here in the USA. Each leash has solid brass hardware as well as a hand-stamped leather tag. The colors are limited to try to keep with the marine palette.

As owner Genny explains, “RESQ}pup is dedicated to those who have saved a dog’s life by adopting their animals from shelters/rescues. I started fostering animals from high kill shelters and with that came my RESQ}pup leash. I could never find a leash that was durable, good for dog beach, affordable and still stylish. As a design junkie, I admit, I was picky, so as a way to save money and have something original and durable, I created this leash!”

In addition to trying to motivate people to adopt shelter dogs, they donate a portion of every sale to a different local shelter or rescue organization each month.

Tracey Long is an freelance illustrator and artist from Hereford, England. In her Etsy profile, Tracey states she’s inspired by “words, stories, poems and very tall tall tales” — which makes sense, as the characters in her pencil and watercolor illustrations all look like they’re right smack in the middle of some kind of wonderful story.

This holiday fabric by New Mom Designs playfully depicts a hardworking team of dogs preparing for the holidays. I love the way the cool graphic print and modern color scheme keep this fabric from being too cutesy. Ball Ball and Friends are a cartoon animal collective created by Hong Kong designer and illustrator Tetchan. The comic series follows Ball Ball, a cheerful and fun-loving Pomeranian and his pals through their somewhat madcap — but always cute — adventures and hopes to spread a message about animals along the way.

Tetchan, who illustrates via both canvas and computer, hopes to use the tales of Ball Ball and Friends to educate fans on animal concerns and issues (such as food safety and endangered species and habitats) and to encourage people to love and respect all animals. On the other hand, some of Tetchan’s illustrations are just cute for cute’s sake — and you will never hear me complain about that.
