I love this Union Jack harness I found from UK-based dog company Mutts & Hounds. Made to order, each harness is created from British textile designer, Emily Bond’s rustic printed linens and has an adjustable Velcro fastening. Check out the other great British-inspired items at Mutts & Hounds like their coats, neckerchiefs, and dog bone toys. Dachshund owners should also check out this red dachshund harness:
Do you think that if I got Lulu a bone toy with her name on it, like this Dream Bone Dog Pillow, Beans would get the hint and stop stealing her toys?
With this toy, your dog can feel like part of the clan on family movie night.
Welcome back! I hope that you and your pup enjoyed your holidays and had a safe, festive Happy New Year!
Double Rice is a Hong Kong-based pet company who has just released two new toys inspired by Chinese history and culture.
I spotted this adorable Holiday dinner plate of toys from Target over at Phetched. I have to admit, I lost my mind a little from adorable-overload. Really, how cute is this? The set includes turkey, corn, baked potato, biscuit, and what appears to be broccoli, served on top of a Frisbee. Yes, a Frisbee plate!
British designers (and dog lovers) Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne have recently released Best in Show: Knit Your Own Dog as a follow-up to their popular book, Pet Projects. As business partners for nearly thirty years, Muir and Osborne’s three decade long experience knitting together is quite evident in their most recent publication.
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend who mentioned she didn’t like to shop at certain pet boutiques because of the high prices and snooty retailers. She mentioned that, while she is incredibly attracted to the beautiful merchandise, she is often intimidated by the atmosphere. Personally, you can’t drag me out of a pet boutique, but I completely understand the issue this friend of mine was having. It’s a critique I’ve often heard from others. After this conversation I was inspired to dig around the web to see if I could find merchandise that had the “boutique look” without the intimidation factor. I was beyond surprised to find a collection of great items from an unexpected source, Bed Bath and Beyond!
