Hipsters. They’re so hot right now. Unhappy Hipsters, Hipster is the New Homeless, Stuff Hipsters Hate, etc. The long list of blogs celebrating hipster culture through humor seems to be growing at an exponential rate. In the sea of emerging hipster blogs, my personal favorite is the always hilarious Hipster Puppies. What’s cuter than a Ray-Ban wearing, Pabst Blue Ribbon sipping, Mad Men watching hipster pup? The answer? Not much. It’s no wonder that Hipster Puppies is in the process of becoming a soon to be released book! Inspired by one of my favorite daily reads, I put together a roundup of some great products to help your dog achieve this of-the-moment look. Check it out if you want to, I don’t really care. (Wow, that was so hipster of me).

From top left, clockwise: Black Skull Dog Bed by Snuggle Puppies; Green Plaid Feeder by Skate Dog Studios; Lucky Tattoo Tank by Michi Pet; Beefy Ale Bowser Non-Alcoholic Beerby Bowser Beer; Tattoo Dog Pet Costume from Buy Costumes; Leather Dog Collar-Millionaire from Calling All Dogs; Striped Skull Dog Hoodie by The Punky Pup.

Oh boy sometimes don’t you just want to give your dogs a “chill pill”? Well, now you can — er — figuratively. These Chill Pill plush and rope toys from Loopies crack me up. I wish they made a husband version, too.
Neue Galerie presents a new brand, Neue Hund, a line of chic canine couture and luxe accessories inspired by the museum?s mascot, a chocolate miniature Schnauzer named Milly von Barksky (the model). The line was conceived by museum director Renée Price, who travels the world to assemble the finest accessories for dogs and their owners, made by some of the most talented designers. Every item incorporates the principles of Vienna 1900 design: a refined aesthetic, exquisite materials, and superior craftsmanship. In other words, these are for the most distinguished and discerning of doggies.

The Hund Travel Carrier is made from hand-sewn chocolate brown calf-skin with comfortable hand-stitched leather handles, detachable woven shoulder strap, and nickel-plated brass hardware. Suitable for pets up to 20 lbs. Produced by R. Horn?s Wien.

I have to give a shoutout to Kyjen. This big box of dog stuff arrived on my doorstep and when I opened it up, something squeaked and Beans’ ears went like this: ^-^.
If you don’t know Kyjen, they’re the makers of the Outward Hound line along with a boatload of other dog toys and accessories. I was hesitant to get any toys because my dogs are aggressive chewers and can eat their way through just about anything. They also disembowel just about every stuffed toy they get and kill the squeakers within 5 minutes. Kyle from Kyjen assured me that I might be surprised at how my dogs interact with their toys. I was intrigued so I agreed to give ‘em a shot. What did I have to lose?

NYC dwellers take note — FabDog has an MTA NYC Subway collection that features everything from a map food mat and raincoat to fun plushie toys, such as a metrocard and taxi. It’s so adorable, even non-New Yorkers will love it!
