Hooray! Crate & Barrel has finally jumped on the pet accessories bandwagon, and it’s lovely.
Sticking to a budget can be a challenging thing for design savvy folks who like to surround themselves with well-designed products. Believe me, I am all too familiar with this challenge. More often than not, you end up getting exactly what you pay for, which is not great if you happen to be financially challenged. That’s why it’s truly a delight when you come across a product that looks great and is well designed, multifunctional, and affordable!

Tubtrugs are available in an array of colors, shapes and sizes. My personal favorite, the shallow Tubtrug, is perfect for a variety of dog-related responsibilities such as bathing and toy storage. Insert pillows and Tubtrugs also make adorable dog beds!

You’ve probably seen Alessi’s pet products before, but they launched a new dog treat container at the New York International Gift Fair last week. It’s called the Lulajar and was designed by Miriam Mirri.

Magenta Inc. has some great dog stuff, if you’re into this type of look. It’s not a very contemporary look, but I still think it could work in a modern space. San Francisco-based designer Rae Dunn does a great job of creating pieces simple enough to blend into any decor.
Little Wolf, created by Parker Kuncl, offers customizable wooden dog beds, feeders and toy boxes made from wine crates.

Little Wolf came about after Parker adopted Jenna, an adorable 5 year-old Husky/Samoyed mix in need of a forever home. Parker, Jenna’s new guardian and home, was running around trying to get his home ready for this little wolf. First thing’s first, she needed some bowls and food. Parker didn’t want to get just any old plastic bowl. He’s wanted to do something creatively wine-themed for a while and a spare wine crate laying around was perfect.
Thus the first Little Wolf Buffet elevated dog feeder was born. Of course Jenna needed a personalized feeder so other dogs would know it was hers, so she made Parker engrave her name and birthday on the front.
Little Wolf offers pets and their owners fun and aesthetically pleasing pet products for home owner’s and pet’s enjoyment, health and play. All products are sourced locally, hand built by Parker in Seattle, and employ reclaimed unused items 98% of the time (aside from the brand new pet bowls and beds).

How cute is this pet toy box? I love the hand-crafted wood work of Woodin’ You.

I don’t know if I’ve yet professed my love for the fabric known as Neoprene, but let me just tell you that it rocks. This Neoprene Leash Pouch from Wagwear is fantastic — you can attach it to your leash and it can carry spare doggie bags, your cell phone, keys (I really need one for my keys), and a few treats. The nickel grommet dispenses baggies on a roll. The come in two sizes: large and small as well as four colors: blue, orange, brown, and black.
